How do I get my information from one device to another, i.e. upgrade from one model to a new one?

The process to transfer your data from one device to a new one is easy!

1. HotSync your old handheld

2. Install from the CD the desktop software for the new handheld

3. HotSync and when prompted choose the same HotSync User ID as what was assigned to the old handheld.

Done!

Note that this process will not necessarily install all the software that you had installed on the prior handheld. It is suggested that PRIOR to doing the steps above install backup and restore software such as BackUpBuddy, available here) and backup. THEN follow the steps above. While most software installed on the old handheld will most likely work fine on the new device it is suggested that you confirm after following the steps above. Many software programs will have versions specific to a device or enhanced for it (HiRes, etc.)
